The Irrelevant Girl

Sometimes my dreams trickle and seep through into reality. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell which one is which. What even is reality, but a matter of perspective?

A modern tragedy; a story of mutual destruction.

Meet Martha, Angie and Will:

Martha

Used, abused and bullied, Martha longs for a friend. Just one friend. A person she can talk to; someone who won’t laugh at her when she tells them about her recurring night terrors. Someone who won’t make fun of her strange aversions or the fact that she can’t really recall several years of her life.

When she meets Angie, an older girl who’s taking a year off college, Martha thinks she’s found everything she ever wanted. But Angie has other plans.

Angie

A broken genius who suffers from severe impostor syndrome, Angie just wants to make some quick money and blow of some steam. Instead, she gets a secret, a stalker and some very grim gifts.

Will

A tortured artist who dreams of a dark, gothic romance; a misunderstood hummingbird. When he falls, he falls hard and fast – but can he tell the difference between love and obsession?

What happens when Martha’s shaky grasp on reality finally slips and shatters? How will Angie and Will – two extremely damaged individuals who have a tenuous relationship with reality themselves – react?

What’s real and what isn’t? And does it even matter?
